Proven Experience - Vision and Results

Hobart finds itself at crossroads. We can either stagnate and survive, or adapt and thrive. I want to see Hobart grow into a truly world-class small city — one that protects what makes us special and has the confidence to embrace new ideas.

I'm a fifth-generation Hobartian and have lived and worked in the city my entire life. I've raised my family here and spent decades building businesses, employing and training local people, restoring heritage buildings that are now thriving community assets. My commitment to the community also includes 12 years active service in the Army Reserve, a life member of St Virgil's College Football Club, and Board Member and President of various school committees, President of the North Hobart Traders Association, and founder and member of the Hobart Tram Society.

My priorities are practical: protecting and activating our heritage, preserving our natural environment, supporting small business and our economy, strengthening arts and culture, improving transport and access, maintaining quality sporting and community facilities, delivering fair rates, and leading a united and financially disciplined council. Our youth, seniors and people with a disability are too often forgotten in our decision-making.

What sets me apart is my proven ability to deliver. Whether it is
restoring neglected historic buildings or developing successful businesses from scratch, my runs are on the board.

Throughout my working life, I have turned ideas into reality. I have restored neglected heritage buildings, established and operated businesses, created employment and supported cultural and community activity.

I want Hobart to remain one of the world’s great small cities — a city that respects its past, looks confidently to its future and remains a great place to live, work, raise a family, build a business and visit.
